TON™ Al-Bronze Series
Includes: TON 20, TON 30, TON 35, TON 40, TON Q2 and TON Q3.
No Nickel is contained in the composition of TON 20, TON 30, TON 35 and TON 40. For the Nickel-Free Al-Bronzes, the numbers "20", "30", "35" and "40" represents its hardness level in Rockwell C (HRC) approximately.
While TON Q2 and TON Q3 contains about 5% Nickel in weight, which increases its strength and corrosion resistance as well significantly. As the initial of Chinese Word "Qiangdu" (which means "Strength"), the letter "Q" stands for "Strengthened". "Q2" and "Q3" represents it has high strength and its hardness level is about 20 HRC and 30 HRC respectively.

High Hardness |
TON 20 has higher hardness up to 190 HB (close to 20 HRC) comparing to tin bronzes generally, and meanwhile maintains very good strength, ductility and toughness. TON 30, TON 35 and TON 40 has especially high hardness that is up to 30, 35 and 40 HRC respectively and can be well used in metal forming dies and other guiding and positioning devices involving severe wear and abrasion. |
High Strength |
TON 20, TON 30 and TON Q2 has as high strength (tensile, yield, compressive strength etc.) as manganese bronzes (high tensile brass). Meanwhile, TON 20 has better ductility and toughness and heat treatment is not necessary. TON Q3 has even higher strength (tensile, yield, compressive strength etc.) than manganese bronzes (high tensile brass). TON 20, TON 30, TON Q2 and TON Q3 has better performance in wear resistance and longer service time in most applications of manganese bronzes (high tensile brass). |
| Excellent Corrosion Resistance |
TON™ Al-Bronzes have excellent corrosion resistance to chemicals, fresh water, non-oxidizing acids, salt water and numerous environments. Due to its excellent corrosion resistance and good mechanical properties, TON 20 and TON Q3 can be used as tools and machined parts in production and packing machinery for food or pharmaceutical industry. |
